First Day At Work

Digging In
All the efforts of doing this the right way paid off. We struck a very good flow of water. It took the team over 18 hours of hard work, but the end result washed away all the fatigue. Hail Mother Earth.

We took the seniors in the family to Dee Mandala. A day spent well with the senior ladies getting to chill together. It was interesting to watch them navigate the language barrier. Even as Ceeba, the resident Great Dane actively contributed.

Going Groundnuts
Sunday morning was well spent at Dee’s farm. The highlight was a checking out Dee’s freshly harvested groundnut produce. We have had a handful at the traffic signal, but this was easily the biggest lot we had ever seen. All grown organically. Nut party soon, once they dry, I guess.

Lake View Living
Sit down conversations over unimportant things are recommended for the visitors. We have a large lake, clean water and if you are up for it, an opportunity to jump in. If you ask our friend Harsha nicely, he might bring out his kayak and give you a free lesson.

Banana Sunday
Friends and us were treated to a guided tour of the Dee Mandala banana plantation. Got a first hand view of the bananas being harvested, carefully sorted and packed off to the buyer. Plus we got a free lesson on companion planting. Banana Sunday was a complete hit.
